The belt can be removed from the lock by lifting the small flap with a screwdriver. The belt can then be cut and placed back. The smallest possible cut side would be around 35cm's.
The lock is really easy to open with a clever switch as can be seen on the last picture. The lock is made out of metal and does not contain any plastic material. The metal is also quite thick making the lock quite strong.
